Academic
Qualification: Appliers
must have Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in
case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST)
and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) category) awarded by
any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state
legislature in India. Final year students of Graduate Courses may also apply.
Equivalent
Qualifications List:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./Post Diploma ) or B.E/B.Tech equivalent examinations, of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE
- Any Qualification recognized by Association of Indian Universities New Delhi, which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by UGC recognized University/Institutions.
- Cases not covered above equivalency certificate to be produced from Association of Indian Universities New Delhi.
Reservations: As
per the Government of India requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for SC
and 7.5% for ST candidates. 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward
Classes candidates belonging to the “non – creamy” layer (NC – OBC).
Application Fee:
Aspirants need to pay registration fee of Rs.1600/- for general and NC-OBC
candidates. For SC/ST/PWD (DA) category the applicable fee is Rs.800/.

apply for CAT: Dear ambitious candidates the instructions to
submit the application form online are here.
- Dedicated and fantastic applicants need to visit the official website of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) that is www.iimcat.ac.in
- Using the system generated User ID and Password received, you can login as “Existing User” on the website and fill the Application Form for CAT
- Then Fill Application Form which is categorized into the following five sections:
- Personal Details
- Academics
- Work Experience
- Programmes Payment
- Candidates applying for PGP/PGDM courses at the following IIMs are requested to select the same interview city for all the selections.

- Upload Documents like:
- Passport Size Photograph and Signature
- NC-OBC/SC/ST Certificate
- PWD/DA Certificate
- (Upload the scanned image of your passport photo within the dimensions of 35mm X 45mm. Also, upload the scanned image of your signature within the dimensions of 80mm X 35mm. The documents file format should be a .jpg or .jpeg and the file size should not be more than 80KB each. The image should be clear with a minimum resolution of 150px/inch)
- Then must Payment the application fee
- Post successful transaction of your payment, you will be redirected back to the CAT website. A payment successful message will be displayed on the screen along with the Payment Transaction Number and submit it successfully.
- You will also receive a confirmation email stating the successful submission of your CAT Application within a few minutes.
- Keep it safe to show when it is asked.
