1. Current affairs
2. History
3. Geography

Optional Engineering Categories Subjects: Check points-

• This is the main section of exam and it possesses both kinds of questions Objective type Questions and Descriptive Type.
• Considered full marks are 800 for this category of exam.
• It covers the whole topic of the Engineering according to the stream (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & Tele-communication) opted by candidates.
• This section is also known as Technical Section.
• These two topics cover the whole syllabus of IES or IES consists of the following topics in which applicants are required to qualify to get good Job.
