Eligibility Criteria for Junior Telecom Officers (JTO)
Education Qualification for applying in JTO-Telecom: Candidates must have Graduates of Engineering
or Technology. Those who have an equivalent degree can apply as well. The
certification must be from a recognized college. Students must have learned any
one of the following disciplines:-
- Computer
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Information Technology
- Radio
- Telecommunication
Those who are awaiting their graduation results are also
permitted to appear for the examination. A score of above 60 percent ought to
have been scored by the students in their finals.
Age Qualification for BSNL - JTO Entrance Exam: Candidates
age must have manimum 21 years & maximum 30 years. But this is relaxable in
some cases, they are:
- Government servants – up to 5 years
- BSNL employees – up to 5 years
- Applicants of the SC and ST tribes – up to 5 years
- Applicants of the OBC category – up to 3 years
- Applicants of the PH General Category – up to 10 years [SC/ST: 15 years and OBC: 13 years
- Residents of J&K

Criteria for Telecom Technical Assistants (TTA):
Nationality/Citizenship: Only Indian
Nationals can apply-
Educational Qualifications: Job
grabbers must have a degree in the following discipline for getting eligible
for examination:
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Radio Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Instrumentation/ Instrument Engineering
- Information Technology Engineering
OR
The candidates should either have B.Tech degree or a 3
years Engineering Diploma in the above mentioned subjects.
OR
Applicants with the degree of M.Sc. (Electronics) are also
eligible for the examination.
All the degrees must be in hand while applying for the
examination which means the aspirant who are in the final year of graduation
are not eligible for taking the examination.
Age Limit: The Age of the candidates must not be
below 18 years and not be above 30 years with both ends inclusive on the date
of Application. However the applicants form the reserved category can be
relaxed in the age, the details of which have been given in the following box:

Eligibility Criteria for Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE):
Educational Qualification: Applicants
must have BE/B.Tech degrees in Engineering in any recognized university or
college are eligible to apply for BSNL SDE Recruitment 2014-15.

Eligibility Criteria for Deputy General Manager (DGM):
Education Record: Applying aspirants must have passed 1st
class B.E / B.Tech or equivalent Engineering Degree / CA / ICWA / CS with
minimum 60 % marks or more from recognized institution.
Appliers must have Min. 60% marks (55% for SC/ST
candidates) in BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering Degree from following
disciplines: Electrical, Electronics and Communications/ IT/Computer/ Computer
Sciences.
Work Experience Eligibility:
- Minimum 12 years post qualification working experience
- Minimum 3 years of sector-wise experience: In case of PSU experience: Minimum 3 years in E-4 grade as defined in DPE guidelines (IDA pre-revised scale Rs.14500-350- 18700/Revised IDA Scale Rs.29100-54500).In case of Private sector experience: Minimum 3 years in equivalent annual gross salary, which is approximately Rs. Seven lacs gross.In case of government job sector experience: Minimum 3 years in CDA scale Rs.10000-325-15200 (pre-revised scale).
- Minimum 5 years work experience, in a company with an annual turnover more than Rs 100 Cr. (in case of PSU, Private Companies).
- If you are from a PSU or Government Service, you have to produce the ‘No Objection Certificate’ issued on letter head or duly stamped by the competent authority at the time of interview.
