www.upsc.gov.in Geologist Eligibility Criteria Overview

Nationality: Applying and interested job grabbers must be citizen of one of the below given Country and having a certificate of eligibility from the government of India -
India, or
Nepal, or
Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who has came before 1st January, 1962 with the purpose of permanently settling in India. or
An Indian who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the objective of permanently settling in India

Eligibility Criteria: one their required qualification from a university which has been incorporated by act of the central or state Legislature in India or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed university under SECTION 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956).

For Geologist: Job contenders must have passed master’s degree in one of the following subjects which are given below-

Geology
Geo exploration
Marine Geology
Earth Science and Resource management
Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies
Petroleum Geosciences
Petroleum Exploration
Geochemistry

For Geophysicists: Interested aspirants should have degree in M.Sc. in physics/ applied physic/ geophysics/ marine geophysics/ technology/ exploration geophysics or applies geophysics from any recognized university according to the rule which has been given above.

For Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist-B) Group ‘A’ in Central Ground Water Board
